Energy that brings sustainability at home and innovation in business
“
Sustainable energy means to me an element of innovation: I tried in my private as well as professional life to adopt new energy models to constantly improve the positive impact of my activities”, Giampaolo Nelzi, CEO of Campisa Srl and associate of the cooperative Energia Verde WeForGreen. .
Giampaolo Nelzi is founder and CEO of Campisa Srl, a company producing and exporting at global level loading bay equipment, fire-rated gates and high-speed doors. In Campisa, sustainability and innovation are powerful levers to boost the business development. Passion for innovation is also a personal quality of Giampaolo, who applied it also to his private life when he decided to join the cooperative Energia Verde WeForGreen. Thanks to the cooperative, Giampaolo produces all the energy needed to be energetically independent. After becoming member of the cooperative, Giampaolo met ForGreen and decided to adopt a clean energy solution for its company Campisa.
Why did you join the cooperative Energia Verde WeForGreen?
I decided to join for three main reasons: firstly, to be energetically independent; secondly, to save money, thirdly, to respect the environment. The three reasons are strictly linked: from the energy point of view, thanks to the cooperative I can produce the energy to cover my domestic needs and to integrate the energy produced by my domestic solar installation. From the economic point of view, being an energy producer helped me to cut energy bills in the long term, thanks to the energy produced by my domestic plant and the income generated by the cooperative’s energy production. Finally, from the environmental point of view, the cooperative helped me to reduce my environmental impact thanks to the ingenious system of sharing solar plants.
How did you transfer this passion for sustainability and innovation to your company?
Being sustainable and innovative means to me make a good use of raw materials. Campisa stands out for research and development, the registration of many patents and the discovery of new competitive solutions able to improve the quality of our products. The choice of using clean and renewable energy is part of this wide innovation process, because it improves the quality of one of the raw materials we use the most, namely electricity.
Do you believe that consuming clean energy can bring competitivity to your company?
My company trades with foreign countries in a consistent way, from Morocco, South America, to Russia and Norway. Some countries (especially Northern European countries) have a strong awareness about environmental issues. Therefore, the choice of sustainable energy empowers our reputation on foreign markets (especially if certified by international brands such as EKOenergy, which certifies ForGreen’s electricity), because it is seen as an additional attention for quality systems.
